Job Purpose -
The CTO will play a critical role in overseeing all aspects of the Technology department for our e-commerce business. This leadership position involves setting the technology strategy, managing a team of technology professionals, ensuring the company's technology infrastructure is developed and maintained to drive sales, improve efficiency, and enhance the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities -
· Develop and execute the Technology strategy aligned with the company's e-commerce business objectives, focusing on enhancing the online shopping experience, increasing conversion rates, and driving revenue growth.
· Manage the design, development, and maintenance of the company's e-commerce platform, ensuring its scalability, reliability, and security.
· Develop the data analytics and AI strategy including data management and future tech.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and customer service, to identify technology needs and opportunities to improve the online shopping experience and drive customer engagement and loyalty.
· Develop and maintain technology policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the security, integrity, and availability of customer data and e-commerce transactions, in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
· Manage the selection, implementation, and maintenance of software
applications and systems that support e-commerce operations.

· Develop and manage the technology budget, optimizing resource allocation to achieve cost-effectiveness and ROI.
· Oversee technology support and helpdesk services, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues for employees and customers.
· Stay abreast of emerging technologies and e-commerce trends, evaluating their potential impact on the company's online sales initiatives and recommending strategies for adoption.
· Provide regular insightful reports on technology performance and projects to senior management.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities -
· Proven track record of successfully leading technology teams and delivering complex e-commerce projects on time and within budget.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
· Knowledge of technology security and compliance standards relevant to e-commerce, such as PCI DSS and GDPR.
Requisite Education & Experience -
· Masters' degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
· 10+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, preferably in e-commerce or retail.
· Proficiency in web technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and APIs.
· Relevant certifications, such as Certified E-commerce Consultant (CEC) are a plus.
