Monitor data centre services continuously and resolve or action upon any events or issues that occur based on standard policy and protocols.
Identify and respond to faults on systems and networks, liaise with 3rd party suppliers and vendors for maintaining datacentre facility and handle escalations through to resolution.
Respond to requests for support following agreed procedures including allocating these requests to appropriate teams internally and maintains relevant records.
Gather and report service level information to ensure compliance with SLAs as defined by policy or client agreements, ensure all reports are filed and maintained.
Maintain facilities (monitoring and management of air-conditioning, UPS, generators, power usage, running health and safety and housekeeping checks at POPs).
Provide first level of troubleshooting to resolve system and user queries and issues.
Execute applications and database shutdown and start-up, ensure shutdown and start-up are successful and escalate to appropriate administrator in case of any issue or error.
