Plating Technicians are responsible for the safe, efficient operation and strict record keeping of the electroplating process and quality of the product following established work procedures. This position will require basic math abilities along with trouble-shooting, time management abilities. Your duties will require you to work safely with a variety of chemical materials.
Follow established work procedures set for rack and barrel electroplating.
Monitor parts throughout the plating cycle.
Maintain lot codes and accurate documentation for internal control.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Perform process and tank maintenance
Troubleshooting of solutions and defects.
Responsible for producing and maintaining a high level of quality parts to specification.
Required to fill out daily production reports and meet production deadlines
Perform scheduled analysis on plating solutions.
Addition and making up of plating solution chemistry.
Handling of hazardous waste.
Communicate with other departments and personnel in a team environment.
Quality-minded person and able to follow safety procedures.
Interpret instructions both written and oral.
Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
