Job Description

- Plan and implement network security, including building firewalls, file permissions, backup and disaster recovery plans, file system integrity, and adding and deleting users.
- Maintain Alcatel & CISCO telephony system, creating a new extension, give access to national or international calls.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity problems, including user access and component configuration.
- Record and maintain hardware and software inventories, site a server licensing, and user access and security.
- Install, configure, and upgrade desktop hardware and peripherals to include; network cards, printers, email, and internet access.
- Work as a team member with other technical staff, such as networking to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systems.
- Conduct technical research on system upgrades to determine feasibility, cost, the time required, and compatibility with the current system.
- Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored, or accessed by the network.
- Guide the technical support team through the troubleshooting process.
- Creating an email account, setting up permissions (restrictions on mailbox, recipients, etc...)
- Give internet access to users and set up permissions (Time & Traffic Quota).
- In charge of the IT Store, maintain all the computer accessories record through Maximo, make PR, GRV, and Issuance as per user requirement.
- Deals with Suppliers for purchasing any IT Assets and follows company procedure of Cape, PR, PO, and Payment.
