Purpose of the role
• To oversee all aspects of day to day Scaffolding operations, in order to meet the organization goals and objectives as established by the General Manager, with full P&L responsibility.
• To foster a development led division , building natural growth within existing footprint and leading the bidding process.
• To ensure optimum utilization of resources, specifically improving manpower efficiency; and equipment deployment across projects, and management of idle resources accordingly.
• To enforce productivity, quality standards, safety leadership and cost efficiency through the adoption of company systems and process to deliver estimation assumptions.
• To communicate effectively, building the company values and principles and leading client interface on critical matters to build trusted partnership.
• Adopt company incentive schemes efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Budgeting
• Present annual budget (bottom up) with supporting presentation pack justification; and in line with a realistic approved HR Model.
• Ensure timely budget approval.
Operations
• Responsibility for project delivery, providing guidance and involvement regarding execution plans, schedules, resource plans and site commercial management.
• Introduce plans to improve utilization onsite and improve productivity on all Scaffolding projects.
• Enforce ethical standards and industry best practices. Maintain and encourages highest level of services and prompts response to clients at all times.
• Conduct interviews, select competent personnel; train new and existing employees; coach employees to perform conduct performance appraisals; implement employee motivation and rewards.
• Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations and direct administration for the division.
• To develop divisional and project level safety programs; set performance targets; develop proactive safety actions, implement safely indicatives and review effectiveness.
• Responsible for all projects profitability, quality delivery, and timely work schedule delivery.
• Key account manager for all clients and responsible to maintain excellent working relationship with client representatives to support order intake.
Commercial
• Approves all project and divisional level (budgeted cost) and ensures correct allocation of manpower and materials to provide correct GP levels.
• Ensure timely submission and collection of all project invoices.
• Reviews cost, valve and reconciliations statement (CVR’s) for each project monthly, and highlight necessary “Red flags” for corrective measures.
• Ensure timely collections in line with company processes.
Contracts
• Ensure full knowledge of contract obligations for each order on hand (OOH); in cooperation with Contracts & Commercial Manager.
• Challenge and ensure that company is claiming its rights and entitlements under the contracts for all the OOH, in cooperation with Contracts & Commercial Manager.
• Lead dispute resolution and change management process; with the support of the project team and Contracts & Commercial Manager.
Business Development
• Monthly monitoring of orders on hand (OOH), pipeline and Get & Do to measure progress against budget.
• Deliver a pipeline of opportunities across all Scaffolding service lines.
• Knowledge of scaffolding services in Saudi Arabia.
• Support b bid decisions at Weekly Growth and development meetings.
• Support to ensure visibility of current and strategic prospects to meet budget, longer term sustainability and backlog challenge.
• Achieve an acceptable w ratio with adequate order intake to achieve revenue target (at acceptable margins) as set by General Manager.
• Participate in client engagement plan.
• Review current prequalificati and ensure its updated and developed, in cooperation with business development team.
• Participate in Industry events.
Resource Planning
• Lead resource planning with cooperation of Resources Manager, HR Manager, and General Manager to ensure the optimum allocation of resources to projects. This will include a manpower and recruitment plan at project level, culminating to a consolidated divisional manpower and recruitment plan (supporting the approved HR plan).
• Accurate forecasting to ensure timely decisions with respect to idle resources.
Staff Management
• Ongoing competency assessment of key positions across operating functions and ensure a competent team is developed and retained.
• Lead weekly divisional meeting with all operating functions to support project delivery.
• Guide and assist respective department managers for successful implementation of approved organization policies and procedures.
• Coach and mentor direct reports to assure continued professional development and maximize plant owner certification
Reporting
• Submission and Presentation of Monthly divisional report to General Manager.
• Submit other repor as requested by CEO.
• Submission of annual divisional report.
