Job Description

• Sending enquiries and getting quotations from suppliers
• Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers
• Negotiate price, payment terms, warranties and delivery
• Verifying quantity and rate in the MRS with Budget
• Getting approval to proceed with purchase orders
• Preparing, verifying and signing purchase orders under direction of purchaser
• Forwarding purchase order to vendo
• Coordinating with accountant for submitting copy of LPO, payment and invoi related issues
• Follow up for the import materials
• Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders
• Following instructions from purchaser
• Documentation and filling properly
• Receiving, screening and filtering of material requirements sheet (MRS) from project engineers,
• Verifying quantity and rate in the MRS with Budget
• Following steps mentioned in stage 1 for negotiation, comparison preparation of LPO etc.
• Conduct market research to identify pricing trends
• Maintain and updating of vendor registration book for suppliers and sub-contractors
• Learn and understand basic of civil industries (building construction materials)
• Coordinate with project staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition
• Shorting out any issue related delivery or quality in coordination with site enginee
• Learn and understand basic of finishing materials (door, windows, tilling, sanitary wares, bathroom fittings etc.)
• Learn and understand basic of fire-fighting work, elevators, air conditioning and ELV work
• Learn and understand sub-contracting of work
• Study the sub-contract requirement
• Evaluating new supplier and sub-contractors
• Floating the requirement, getting the proposal, comparing, negotiating the terms in sub contract
• Create and maintain good relationships with vendo
• Review and analyze all vendo, supply, and price options
• Work with team members and procurement manager to complete duties as needed
• Attend trade shows and exhibitions to stay up-to-date with industry trends


Candidate Requirements

Minimum 5 years Gulf experience as Purchaser
valid Oman driving license
Candidates in Oman currently with NOC will be most prefer
