We are seeking a diligent and vigilant Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, employees, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to enforce security protocols while maintaining a professional and customer service-oriented approach. This role requires excellent observation skills, the ability to handle challenging situations, and a commitment to maintaining a secure environment.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and authorize entrance and exit of employees, visitors, and vehicles
- Conduct regular patrols to ensure the premises are secure
- Prevent unauthorized access by maintaining a presence at the entrance
- Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property and monitoring surveillance equipment
- Monitor and control access to sensitive areas, ensuring confidentiality is maintained
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances promptly
- Provide clear, concise, and detailed reports on any incidents, accidents, or unusual activities
- Perform regular checks on security equipment and report any malfunctions or shortcomings
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies in case of emergencies or suspicious activities
- Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure the safety of individuals and property
- Remain vigilant and proactive in identifying potential security risks or breaches
- Assist employees and visitors with directions, inquiries, and general support when needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a security guard or in a related role is preferred
- Strong knowledge of security procedures and protocols
- Excellent observational and surveillance skills
- Ability to operate security equipment such as CCTV cameras, access control systems, and alarms
- Strong physical stamina and ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Sharp problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively
- High degree of professionalism and integrity
- Valid security license or certification (if required by local regulations)
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
Working Conditions:
- This position may require shifts during evenings, weekends, and holidays to ensure 24/7 security coverage.
- The security guard may work both indoors and outdoors, exposed to weather conditions.
