Origen, a renowned IT services provider, is seeking a skilled VoIP Engineer with extensive experience in the SIP protocol, configuration of SIP-based PBX systems, Asterisk, and expertise in configuring Session Border Controllers (SBCs) and media gateways. Key Responsibilities:
1. SIP Protocol Expertise:
· Demonstrate a deep understanding of the SIP protocol, its components, and its role in VoIP communication.
· Utilize your expertise to troubleshoot and resolve complex SIP-related issues in communication networks.
2. Configuration of SIP-Based PBX Systems:
· Design, implement, and configure SIP-based PBX systems to deliver reliable and efficient voice communication solutions.
· Ensure seamless integration of SIP-based PBX systems with existing network infrastructure.
3. Asterisk Implementation and Management:
· Leverage your experience with Asterisk to deploy, configure, and maintain Asterisk-based communication systems.
· Customize and optimize Asterisk configurations to meet specific client requirements.
4. SBC and Media Gateway Configuration:
· Design, configure, and manage Session Border Controllers (SBCs) to ensure secure and efficient VoIP communication.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SBCs and media gateways with various communication systems.
5. VoIP Network Monitoring and Optimization:
· Monitor VoIP network performance and traffic patterns to proactively identify and address potential issues.
· Optimize VoIP communication systems to ensure high-quality voice calls and minimal latency.
6. Technical Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
· Investigate and resolve complex technical issues related to VoIP communication, SIP protocols, PBX systems, and SBCs.
7. Doentation and Reporting:
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date doentation of VoIP configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and best practices.
· Generate detailed reports on VoIP network performance, security, and recommended enhancements.
8. Collaboration and Client Interaction:
· Work closely with clients to understand their VoIP requirements and provide tailored solutions that align with their communication needs.
· Collaborate with internal teams to address client inquiries, resolve issues, and deliver exceptional customer service.
9. Customer Service and Remote Support:
· Provide excellent customer service and remote technical support to end users, addressing their VoIP-related queries and concerns.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
· Minimum of 5-6 years of hands-on experience as a VoIP Engineer, with a strong emphasis on SIP protocol and PBX system configuration.
· Extensive experience with Asterisk implementation, configuration, and management.
· Proficiency in configuring and managing Session Border Controllers (SBCs) and media gateways.
· In-depth knowledge of VoIP protocols, codecs, and signaling.
· Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex VoIP and SIP-related issues.
· Cisco and Juniper certifications are a significant plus, enhancing your qualifications.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective client interaction, technical doentation, and remote support.
