Position Overview:
The Accounting Assistant will support the accounting department by performing various clerical and administrative tasks. This role involves assisting with the preparation of financial doents, maintaining accurate records, processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and providing support during audits. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and has a basic understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Assist in preparing and processing invoices, payments, and financial reports.
2) Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers and spreadsheets.
3) Reconcile bank statements and accounts to ensure accuracy.
4) Support the accounting team during audits and tax filings.
5) Respond to internal and external queries regarding financial information.
6) Perform general administrative tasks as needed, including filing and data entry.
Qualifications:
1) Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or similar is preferred
2) Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
3) Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus.
4) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
5) Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
