Job Description

Position title: Senior Officer / Manager- Logistics
Salary : AED 5k to 8k
Department: Logistics
Location: SAIF Zone, Sharjah, UAE
Fu time

Organizational relationships Reports to: GM Functional relationship with: Sales, Stores, Production and Purchase

Academic qualification
Essential: Graduate in Engineering or Commerce, Qualification in Logistics / Material Management

Experience
Relevant: 8 to 9 years in similar position in Shippi Machinery Dispat Freight
Forwarding / Expor Trade

Knowledge of inward and outward logistics
Knowledge of customs clearance, Insurance & Freight (especially in sea freight FCL, LCL, breakbulk, OOG,
OT, FR)
Working knowledge of Import-Export laws.
Well versed with computers (Microsoft Office, ERP/SAP)
Knowledge of planning heavy equipment’s

Primary Responsibilities Logistic control, Monitoring Coordinating, Cost control, Custom Clearance, High Seas Sales
Management, Support to all function on logistic related, IMCO terms management. Preparation of various export doents such as invoice, packing list, etc. Planning dispatches based on available loads. Planning & coordinating with CNF for sailing schedule and liaising with team members to meet the
dates Planning of packing material as per the production schedule and dispatch instructions Selection of transporter and finalization of freight rates Assisting team members for day-to-day activities Finalizing the contracts with the logistics service providers Participation in ISO audits Logistic cost control for e.g., control and reduction of outward and inward freight cost / Packing
Cost Analysis of short supply, freights, delivery time, transport losses, suggesting suitable loss control
measures. Supervision of operations Staffing and workplace scheduling, Man-power planning Focus on improving and enhancing strategy and operations Evaluate and council staff Evaluate staff goals Making of Standard operation procedures and implementation Contribute in ERP development

Secondary responsibilities Procedural doentation e.g., ISO, ERP, stores policies etc. Monitoring logistic data + Analysis of MIS Periodically

Budget responsibilities Placing the PO on Transporter / packing vendor, submissions of bills / Payments with the logistics
vendors

Environmental Condition Normal office environment, with occasional outside travel
