Job Summary:
We are looking for a friendly and customer-focused Wait to join our team at Wood House Restaurant. The ideal candidate will provide excellent service to guests, ensure a memorable dining experience, and maintain the highest standards of hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Service & Dining Experience:
Greet and welcome guests in a warm and professional manner.
Present menus, take orders accurately, and provide recommendations on food and beverages.
Serve food and drinks efficiently while ensuring proper presentation.
Check on guests during their meals to ensure satisfaction and address any issues promptly.
Process payments and handle ca transactions accurately.
Restaurant Operations:
Set up and clear tables, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
Maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards in dining areas.
Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation.
Follow restaurant policies, including health and safety regulations.
Customer Relations & Upselling:
Build rapport with customers and ensure repeat business.
Upsell menu items such as appetizers, desserts, and special drinks.
Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Wait in a restaurant setting preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Team player with a positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.
Flexibility to work on weekends, holidays, and evening shifts.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and basic POS systems is a plus.
