Job Description

Note: Freelancer- Available in Saudi Arabia will be preferable.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Quality Assurance & Compliance
Ensure all welding activities comply with Aramco Engineering Standards (SAES) and Project Quality Plans.

Verify that WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications), PQR (Procedure Qualification Records), and Welders' Qualifications are up to date and approved by Aramco.

Ensure compliance with relevant codes such as ASME, AWS, and API.

2. Inspection & Supervision
Supervise daily welding operations and ensure quality control procedures are followed on site.

Conduct visual inspections of welds and coordinate NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) activities (RT, UT, MT, PT, etc.).

Monitor and record welding parameters like voltage, current, and travel speed.

3. Doentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate welding traceability records, NDT reports, and weld maps.

Prepare and submit Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and QC Dossiers for client review.

Generate welding inspection reports, weld repair logs, and welder performance reports.

4. Coordination & Communication
Coordinate with construction, engineering, and Aramco QC teams.

Participate in client inspections and resolve welding-related NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports).

Lead toolbox talks and welding quality briefings for welders and foremen.

5. Welder Qualification
Arrange welder qualification tests in accordance with project and Aramco requirements.

Maintain an up-to-date register of qualified welders and ensure their qualifications are valid for the project scope.

6. Materials & Consumables
Verify that welding consumables (electrodes, filler wires) are stored and issued as per procedures.

Ensure proper handling and storage of base materials and filler materials.

Qualifications:
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Certified Welding Inspector (e.g., AWS CWI, CSWIP 3.1/3.2).

Minimum 5–10 years experience in oil & gas projects.

Valid Aramco Approval Letter as a Welding QC Supervisor.
