• Builds team of high performance individuals to follow & apply company’s policies & processes.
• Responsible for job allocation and job flow in the workshop including job scheduling and labour allocation for day to day operations.
• Ensure supplies are ordered for each job. Ensure correct job numbers are used and that time records are correct.
• Regularly report progress on each job and quickly communicate delays or concerns with the service manager.
• Ensure adequate maintenance of tools, equipment and other materials in the Service Area.
• Work with the Service manager to respond to client’s requests for updates on the status of their jobs and keep the communication channels open to ensure information is accurate.
• Investigate customer complaints and concerns and suggest appropriate solutions. Discuss with team to identify appropriate course of action.
• Implement systems to record, file and store information pertaining to client enquiries.
• Identify staff that require on-going training and implement training opportunities to ensure their skills are improved.
• Review customers service orders and inspect the quality of a technician repairs before the release of vehicles.
• Review work orders to ensure that all actions have been documented according to GE policies and procedures.
• Receive and review feedback from customers and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction.
• To update the daily / Weekly / Monthly departmental reports.
• To ensure all relevant technical trends are communicated to the line Manager for processing.
• To coordinate to the QC and to assigns jobs to ensure the timely completion of the customer vehicles
• To monitor return work and identify possible trends with repairs and report all findings to the Service Manager.
• Report all equipment failures for immediate repairs to the Service Manager.
• Ensure the Workshop Department and workshop equipment is kept to a high standard and cleanliness at all times.
• Monitoring and continues observe the Workshop staff performance.
• Promote a Health and Safety culture within the business.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager
• Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical / Automotive or related field.
• 5 years’ experience managing an automotive workshop, particularly attached to a dealership
• Automotive systems (vehicle layout, function and location of parts
• Extensive Knowledge of mechanical issues, warranties, service and general repairs
• Computer literate with a solid understanding of Microsoft applications
• Ability to advise customers on the required jobs in a timely, professional manner
• Strong Communication Skills
• Good communication in English , Arabic a plus
